Intermediate Band

  • Current 8th graders that will be interested in the High School Marching Band as a Freshman, along with their parents, should mark their calendars for the "Freshman Orientation" scheduled on April 26, 2010 at 7:00 pm in the band room.
  • VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!!! The Middle School Solo and Ensemble music event hosted by Brookville will be March 27, 2010. Parent volunteers are needed to help in various areas, including warm-up room supervision, front door greeters, OMEA pin sales, and concessions. There are numerous 3-4 hour shifts that need to be covered between 6:45 am and 6:00 pm. Parents of all aged band students are encouraged to participate. This is a great opportunity to volunteer and get to know other band parents. If you are able to give a few hours of your time on this day please call Sheri Noer at 681-7926, Char Garrett at 833-6949, or Debbie Miller at 833-1165
  • In order to help cut the initial cost of the concession stand for the Solo and Ensemble event, the Band Association is asking for donations of homemade baked goods and drinks (12 pack of pop or water). If you would like to donate baked goods, please place them in Ziploc baggies for individual sale. Following is a list of drinks needed by grade level. Please make sure all drinks and baked goods are brought to the band room by Thursday, March 25th.
  • Drink donations needed by grade levels for Middle School Solo & Ensemble: 5th & 9th grade-Water, 6th & 10th grade-Sprite or Mountain Dew, 7th & 11th grade-Coke or Pepsi, 8th & 12th grade-Diet Coke or Diet Pepsi. Thank you in advance for your donations.


Marching Band/Color Guard

  • Band Members: You can now find all the new documents for the 2009-10 band season located in the Parent’s Information section under Resources below. Please take a moment and look through the documents. You are required to print and bring some of the forms with you to band camp. See you in July.
  • The following is a tentative schedule for July 2010 and is being posted as a guideline for families to use in planning their summer vacations. When the dates are confirmed they will be posted on the Band Calendar on this site. Marching Band Tentative Schedule: Percussion - Battery and Pit - July 12-16, Woodwind/Brass - July 16, Rookie Camp - July 19-22, Rookies 10 am - Noon, Pre-Camp (everyone) 6 pm - 9 pm, Processing Day - July 23, Band Camp July 26-30,
  • The Brookville Band Association is an all volunteer organization that exists to promote and support all Band and Gaurd students in the Brookville school system. Without the dedication of parents and others, many activities would not be possible. The Band Association is currently seeking individuals that are interested in serving in the following areas: Fundraiser Coordinator, Volunteer Coordinator, and Concessions Coordinator. A complete description of the duties of each volunteer position can be found in the Constitution and Bylaws, Final Version located in the Parent Information section below. Please consider serving in one of these much needed postions. Interested individuals should contact the President of the Brookville Band Association, Diane, at the number listed below prior to April 20th, 2010.


Concert Band

  • Fundraiser Opportunity: Karlie and Kristen will have the honor of performing at Carnegie Hall. Band students can help raise donations for their fellow bandmates by bagging groceries at Cub Foods on May 1st & 2nd. All help will be very much appreciated. There will be 2 hour shifts available between 12 pm and 6 pm on both days. Students volunteering must be 14 years of age or older. Watch for sign-ups in the band room closer to the time of the event.
